This topic, which is mirrored in two places on the message board, as an announcement at the top of each of the FAQ and Anything forums, will serve as a news summary of all on-going Starsailor events scheduled.
I'll update it with all new items announced and remove events shortly after they pass. New items will be indicated with ~ NEW ~ and any events where we post subsequent information, or details change, will be noted thus: ~ Details updated ~ and if appropriate, the specifics of the change, highlighted.
The date of the latest version of this information is indicated in the subject line.
Starsailor are Back!
Starsailor are delighted to announce that after the much publicised takeover of their record company, they now have a new record label (Virgin) and a whole new team of people working to promote our fourth record. It will be called 'All The Plans' and will be released on the 9th March 2009. It will be preceded by a single, 'Tell Me It's Not Over,' to be released on Monday 2nd March 2009.

Behind the scenes preview of Tell Me It's Not Over:
The band have put together a new video for you, from behind the scenes when making the video recently for Tell Me It's Not Over.

The finished video has now also been released and can be viewed in a number of places, including YouTube. The video for Tell Me It's Not Over was directed by Dan Sully.

US Release:
All the Plans will be available in the US via iTunes from 28th April 2009.
Second single announced:
All the Plans, the title track of Starsailor's 4th album will be released digitally as the second single from the album on Monday 15th June.
Twitter song:
James recently posted a new acoustic song via his Twitter page which is called Evermore. To hear the track just scroll back through James's enteries until you get to 10th April.
Radio, TV and media:
There's a separate topic running with details of past media appearances, where the events can still be accessed on-line. I'll only post current or active events here.
Forthcoming live dates:
Details of Starsailor's recent full UK tour can be seen in the Gigs forum, with separate topics for most of the individual gigs.
Starsailor confirmed for V2009 Festival:
Starsailor are finally confirmed to play the V2009 Festival, as follows:
Saturday 22nd August ~ Hylands Park, Chelmsford
Sunday 23rd August ~ Weston Park, Staffordshire
They are provisionally scheduled on the main stage at approximately 1:10pm, but the times are subject to change.
Edge Festival, Edinburgh ~ Monday 24th August:
Starsailor are confirmed to play a gig at the HMV Picture House on Monday 24th August for the Edge Festival. See this Gigs forum topic for more information - tickets on sale from 10th June.
Two dates in Swtizerland ~ 9th and 10th September:
Starsailor are returning to Switzerland for two dates on consecutive nights; Wednesday 9th September, a whole band show at the Kaufleuten in Zurich and the following day they will be playing at the Chant du Gros Festival at Le Noirmont, Switzerland, on Thursday 10th September. Starsailor to tour Europe in September: ~ New dates added ~
Starsailor are to tour Europe during September 2009. As the dates will be individually confirmed and announced, please see this separate Gigs forum topic for the latest details. As an event is added, I will post it at the end of the topic to bring attention to it and edit it into the opening post as a summary too.
Starsailor appearances are only announced on the band's official web site at http://www.starsailor.net in the news and calendar sections and on the message board, when fully confirmed by the band's manager or agent. Until such time, even if you see the events outlined elsewhere, they cannot be considered confirmed by the band. If you choose to buy tickets before they are confirmed by a member of Starsailor's team here on the site, you must do so at your own risk and with this understanding. We make no apology for protecting fans by ensuring that we supply you only with the most up to date and reliable information.
